The artists of the Gangue de Guimarães were challenged to think and present their projects for three possible levels of involvement: from the Artistic Residency in the Candoso Creation Centre that enables experimental work, the Creative Grant for new creations and a more ambitious Artist at the Centre, who will choose the artists who will join A Oficina for three years (2019-21).

After two years of a new, more inclusive, MAT – Amateur Theatre Showcase, the Teatro Oficina has made a commitment to a training and monitoring programme for stage managers and artists of amateur theatre groups. The premiere of the final plays occurred at the end of May, with the Showcase once again included within the Gil Vicente Theatre Festivals.

At the request of several local schools, in 2019 we created a programme to monitor work in schools, focusing on creative training of teachers.
