The Pinto family has been dedicated to the art of jewelry-making in Guimarães since at least the 19th century. Agostinho Pinto, along with his son Ricardo, will demonstrate some jewelry-making techniques and share the story of this family of jewelers from Guimarães. From design to the final piece, participants will have the chance to experience parts of the process, such as bending the band of a ring, hammering the jewel into the desired shape, chiseling metals, among other tasks.
