This is a story about fear—the one we feel and the one imposed on us—but above all, it is a tribute to true courage, which does not lie in the strength of a clenched fist against a face but in the warmth of our heart: something we can call trust, something we must nurture, water, and twist from a young age (just like a cucumber). It is a show "forbidden to those who are not constantly amazed at the fact of existing." Based on two works of fiction with the same title, one by the Portuguese author José Gomes Ferreira and the other by the Flemish author Constant de Kinder, the company Laika, Theater van den zinnen, and Prado - Associação Cultural have joined forces to create a mobile installation where the story of João Sem Medo (Fearless João) and João Medroso (Fearful João) unfolds. Both share something very serious: they challenge the fear they feel and gain courage, either by trusting their senses and intuition or by fully exercising the strongest muscle we have in our body—imagination.

“Adventures” is an interactive and sensory installation where participants are invited to witness the adventures they wish to embark on, diving into worlds, navigating forks in the road and challenges, overcoming doubts, and sharing anxieties, but also discovering new ways of looking at and living with fear.
