Breu runs through the two floors of the Vila Flor Cultural Centre in Guimarães, recreating a place where animals, plants and humans converse in an encounter with ancient reverberations, as when we stop to rest in a forest clearing, and feel like one being among many. Multisensory, attentive to detail and to the slightest noise, Breu is a work of minutia, in which, with simple materials, we try to evoke the night of time and the experience of an ancient place.

The exhibition, following an invitation by Ivo Martins, will be accompanied by a publication with texts by Ana Rito & Hugo Barata, Ivo Martins and Jorge Leandro Rosa, edited by Stolen Books. The book launch is on the last day of the exhibition, Saturday 30 September at 3pm.
